Motorcyclists show off moves on pier
28th August 2008
A group of motorcyclists showed off some 'wheely' great work at the weekend.
Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service held an event on Weston's Grand Pier.
The group, which provides a vital out-of-hours courier service to the area's hospitals, was collecting money to help the worthwhile cause.
Pier co-owner Kerry Michael has shown great support for the charity and invited representatives back, despite the devastating fire that broke out at the attraction last month.
Mr Michael said: "The group does an important job and the show on the pier is an ideal showcase for it to let the public know about its good work.
I am pleased the Grand Pier is still able to support the charity, despite our own difficulties these past few weeks."
