18th September 2008
Weston residents will get the chance to have their say on proposed designs for the new Grand Pier pavilion later this month.
The landmark building was destroyed by fire on July 28, and since then, owners Kerry and Michelle Michael have been inviting design blueprints from six firms of architects.
The six competing ideas will go on public display at the Winter Gardens' seafront bar H20 from September 30 until October 6.
It is hoped that members of the public will inspect the designs and offer their own opinions to ensure residents' views are taken into account ahead of rebuilding.
Expert architectural consultant Bob Hardcastle will be on hand each day to impartially answer questions relating to the designs.
The exhibition will run from 10am until 6pm each day, with Mr Hardcastle available from 11am until 1pm daily.
The designs will also be displayed on this website, visitors to the website will also be able to leave their thoughts on the designs via our comments form.
